In planning to go public, this company hired GW & Wade to counsel each member of their executive team. Eventually, the company was sold to another company. As the company switched strategies, GW & Wade reacted to the changing needs of each executive and their personal financial situation. GW & Wade helped each of these executives, who worked with GW & Wade’s many financial counselors, to build personal investment plans, which were informed by our comprehensive knowledge of what was happening with their company. Furthermore, GW & Wade held employee seminars on stock options, IPOs and tax implications of both.
Already a personal client, when his company went public, our client worked with GW & Wade for corporate counseling. As a corporate advisor for the top executives of his firm, GW & Wade created a variety of programs to support this transition, including option and stock purchase programs. When the company went private again through a managed buy-out, GW & Wade assisted the senior team to structure their personal relationships with the company’s investment banks and custodians. GW & Wade was directly involved in tax planning during the IPO, subsequent option grants and during the going private transaction.
